I am Judas. My reputation is worse than that of a murderer. Some bright minds think that I was charged with a divine mission, a friend or a foil to the Son of God. I do not deserve all that. I was a Jew revolted to see the Romans, pagans, occupy our sacred land.

Jesus of Nazareth has come.

Thus begins the Gospel according to Judas , by Patrick des Ylouses.

The title is sulphurous, the tone immediately set. The tone, and especially the author's bias, which immediately distances itself from the thesis of the historical Gospel of Judas , to seek to understand how this close friend of Jesus, one of his disciples, could have been led to betray him.

la pièce m'a plu

...L'histoire est raconté par Judas qui va tenter d'expliquer à travers les évènements qui se sont passés comment il en est arrivé à trahir Jésus.
Pourtant Judas aimais Jésus, il voyait en lui le libérateur des Juifs. Mais Jésus était quelqu'un de pacifiste.
La pièce m'a plu et j'ai bien envie de la voir sur scène. On y découvre des personnages attachants et non manichéens. Je conseille cette lecture à tous.

Un regard tout neuf sur une histoire trop connue

Le nom de Judas est associé à "traître", "vendu"," faux ami" et désigne même l'oeilleton de nos portes d'entrée ! Le grand intérêt de cette pièce de théâtre est de montrer Judas sous un jour nouveau, celui d'un homme taraudé de questions, cherchant sa voie dans une Palestine sous le joug de l'occupant romain. Ce Judas-là a quelque chose d'intemporel...
