For this fourth edition of our summer reading, we suggest you return to a more familiar, more comfortable style: the short story.

Except that... these short stories are not comfortable at all. "Les leçons d'amour" draws us to the limits of what is bearable, suitable or acceptable, disorients us, disturbs us. The dream of a fantasized life, desires of all kinds, the uncontrollable part, are superimposed on images of reality, on its limits, to finally impose a kind of intermediate reality that only exists in the time and space of writing and that serves as a temporary refuge for the characters. It is to this very personal conception of literature and more broadly of art that this author invites us, who invents, through his texts, offbeat universes, both familiar and distant, but always imbued with poetry and which arouse equal parts fear and fascination.
