It can be associated with Morpheus

It can be associated with Morpheus , or the little elf Close-l'œil from Andersen's tale, but it is also a profession that was once very useful! What is it?

It's the sandman !

In fact, although he is known to children as a fabulous character who drops sand on people's eyes to put them to sleep, it is initially a real profession .

The sandman sold white sand which was thrown on the floors of the inns in the morning and then swept away in the evening.

The Sandman is also a short story written by Nathalie Vanmalle, in which a father is forced to tenderly twist reality for his young son who is worried at bedtime. This story is the first in her collection, The Dream Merchant , which reveals the intimate world of everyday realities : fears, anxieties, hopes, beliefs, dreams, pettiness, joys and sorrows. Riches of the human soul , but sources of misunderstandings and incomprehension ... Short stories that exalt the paradoxes of today's man and woman .
